Here’s my take on immigrants… I don’t care.
I don’t have a problem with anyone wanting to live wherever they like.
Because “immigrants” really isn’t the problem. The real problem is freeloaders. In the UK and Ireland, and likely other European and other Western countries as well, if you go to another country as an immigrant you have a shitload of hoops to jump through before you’re allowed to work. So even if they want to work (and human nature suggests most of them would rather be earning their keep rather than sponging off others), they’re not allowed to.
But the law frequently says they have to be provided for.
So we get a situation where willing and able men and women are kept by the long-suffering taxpayers of whatever country they’re in even though they want to work to keep themselves.
Two things to think about:
- No one gets a free ride. There is a very small minority of people who need to be looked after because they can’t look after themselves. But the rest? It should be simple and straightforward: if you don’t work, you don’t eat. Doesn’t matter who you are: citizen, immigrant, or the Queen of Fucking Sheba.
- No one who wants to work should be prevented from working. The idea immigrants take jobs from citizens is a myth. What happens is they come during the boom times and take the jobs no one else wants. Then when times get tough and whitey doesn’t have job and will take anything he can get… why, then the immigrants have taken all the jobs. Let’s not even get into the stellar success through hard work and grind of umpty bazillion immigrants in countries all over the world. If bigoted fuckwits put as much time and energy into bettering themselves as they do into pissing and moaning about immigrants, maybe they’d be more successful themselves. What a wild notion.
As a citizen of the UK and an immigrant to Ireland, I can say quite categorically immigrants when allowed to work boost the economy. And any who won’t work really should be allowed to starve or fuck off back home (but citizens who won’t work should be allowed to starve, too).
The answer is simple, if unpalatable to those of a nationalist bent: let anyone who wants to come here (for whatever value of ‘here’ is applicable to you) and bring as many as their friends and relatives as they like, provided they understand they have to support themselves or be supported by friends and family already here, and that no one gets a free ride.
Now you know the kind of man you’re, erm, jumping into bed with when you get hot and jiggy with The EBG. You may (or indeed may not) be pleased to know my attitude to business and marketing is pretty much the same as my attitude to life. Or, to put it another way, you can probably now guess at the tone and flavour of what I’ll be sharing with you in my muchly acclaimed 52 Ideas to Grow Your Business FAST email series.
It ain’t for whiners, cry-babies, or those of a sensitive nature.
But it is for those with a thick skin (or the wherewithal to develop one) and who want to make shedloads of money in the easiest and most enjoyable way possible short of being a porn star.
